So here we are, a Brand-Spankin' New blog, and what are we here for? Hunters. Yep. Hunters. Huntards. Whatever you want to call them, that is what this blog is dedicated to. I can tell that this is gonna be fun, so bear with me as I do my best to ensure that we make progress and have fun at the same time.
So, without further ado, the First Post!
...
My first character in World of Warcraft was (is) an Undead Mage. I had played RPGs before, and the caster archetype suited me, or so I thought, so I rolled a Mage. Yup, I was a squishy, and I got to around Level 30 and got beat around by just about every mob that I could find. I died a lot. Turns out that Mages aren't my style.
Next was (is) my Shaman, who resides in Howling Fjord currently at Level 71. He was great while he lasted, but I don't think I will ever get to him again, and if I do it won't be for a very long time.
Now comes to the release of Wrath of the Lich King and the birth of Ommadon the Blood Elf Death Knight, and O what a glorious time! He ran rampant throughout Outland, soloing every elite mob there was (except Arazzius the Cruel) and zoomed through to Northrend. He hit 80 and he is the best Death Knight tank I have ever seen, but after a long while he started to lose his shine.
Then I found BigRedKitty.
And O what a glorious time!
And just as with everyone that has found BRK I learned much in the ways of the Hunter.
Until recently, when BRK had to leave us.
I was very sad to watch him go, in the time when we needed him most, at the forefront of Wrath Patch 3.1.0, and so my Hunter, Syronis, and his pet Whisk, now stand in the 40s with no inspiration.
But BigRedKitty is not gone, not now, not ever.
You see, without even meeting me, he inspired me to play my Hunter to the fullest and in doing so, I wish to pay tribute to him. So as soon as I can, I will tame a Winterspring Frostsaber Pridewatcher and name it BigRedKitty. But what BRK did for the hunter community should not stop there!
Please note, this is not going to turn in to a BigRedKitty Shrine site.
What I want to do is continue what BRK started and keep the Hunter Spirit alive in all of us here. Don't flame on the comments about noobishness and BRK impersonator and the like. It will not be tolerated. We here are not BRK, we are Beast Within. Get it straight. Okay? Good.
Back to Beast Within.
This is a WoW Hunter site and our job is to help you, the reader, learn how to be a better Hunter and learn how to NOT be a Huntard. Yes it is in BRK style, but we are not trying in any way, shape, or form, to be BRK. He has his own site; if you want BRK go there. We are here, we are Hunters, and we are continuing the BRK goal of ridding the world of Huntards!
Soon to come:
Leveling a Lowbie Hunter,
Harcor the Huntard,
The Hunter's Battle (with a mob)
